I often am asked where I get ideas for new
designs, and just as often I don’t have an answer! With animal purses I think
it started with a picture of a chicken. The shape of the chicken reminded me of
a purse. From there the ideas just kept coming and more animals turned into
purses. With the basic techniques given here, I bet you can figure out a few
more yourself. I think a monkey is next for me!
Yarn Requirements: worsted-weight yarn, approx 440 yds of main
color and 100 yds of accent, plus some for embellishment.
Accessories: Two 18mm round
beads for eyes.
Gauge: no gauge
Hook Size: N/13 (9 mm)
Difficulty: Advanced Beginner
