This sport weight yarn is Silk. It is hand washable.

The yarn is super soft and silky. Of course, because it is silk! I think it might be interesting to make socks out of it, since it is a sock weight. Just think, silk socks! It would also be excellent for a luxury scarf or mitts. This yarn is perfect for you or your friend that is allergic to animal fibers. |
